Wildlife photography – You said you were Who Hoo?

Posted on Fri October 23, 2015.

One thing about the wilderness is surely true – it doesn’t judge according to titles…!  Out here opportunity is presented to all, and those who optimize their unique features best, will probably grow strongest.

This rare photo of a Verreaux’s (Giant) eagle owl was taken this week by a course participant of another successful photographic course at Indlovu.  It is unusual to see these owls in the open, and thus so much more rewarding when such an opportunity presents itself.

The great sighting enabled course participants to practice their fill in flash (off-camera) techniques.  These techniques were taught in a classroom session prior to the game drive.
