Photo of the week – Sandgrouses in Bushveld hues…

Posted on Fri March 4, 2016.

This image captures everything that is so totally spellbinding about an early morning in the bushveld…   The crispy dryness of the air, the quiet hue of the colors, the golden touch of the rising sun on perfectly geometric feather patterns…  What an amazing image!  And what an amazing place 🙂

This image was taken by Johan J. Botha from the sunken photographic hide at Indlovu River Lodge.

Johan is a regular guest and frequently hosts photographic courses at Indlovu.  One of his pictures has been selected to feature in the “Nature’s Best Magazine Competition (Africa selection) during 2015.  The exhibition was featured in the Iziko Museam in Cape Town.

We are thrilled to have Johan as part of our regulars!
