Photo of the week – For a giraffe, things are not always as they seem…

Posted on Fri November 20, 2015.

We imagine that Salvador Dali would have had some fun with this image – some great optical illusions and reflections to engage with!  To make things even more uncomfortable, this picture was captured at our bird hide (not at the animal hide), which is much smaller and shallower – perfect for birds, but a loooong stretch for a giraffe!  Nature keeps her beasts on their toes however, and during the hot summer months, every mouthful counts.

This great image was taken by our guest Hennie Conradie.  He was part of another successful photographic course presented at Indlovu River Lodge.
